In Concert: Men's & Women's Choruses

The Lux Men's and Women's Choruses present their inaugural concert at the historic First United Methodist Church in downtown Salt Lake City. The concert includes works by Gjeilo, Hogan, Hicks, Gibbs, and many more. This diverse, energetic, and spiritually uplifting concert is not to be missed. As the church is downtown, parking is limited to street parking. The doors open at 7:00. 

This concert is free and open to public. Even though the concert is free, we encourage all to bring a canned food item, to be donated to the Food Pantry in SLC. Additional monetary donations are always welcome. Lux Singers is a non-profit organization, and as such all donations are tax deductible.

Let Freedom Ring!

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, hostilities of World War I ended. Each year on this day, we celebrate those who have served in the armed forces. Come celebrate Veterans Day with the Lux Singers and featured guest artist Jenny Oaks Baker and the Family 4. This concert of patriotic and sacred music is sure to stir the soul, fill the spirit, and renew hope in our beloved homeland. Let Freedom Ring will also feature The Hill Air Force Base Unity Choir Singers and favorites like Battle Hymn of the Republic, Amazing Grace, God Bless America, and many more beloved songs and hymns from around the country. 

Ms Baker is a Grammy Nominated, Billboard No. 1 performer and recording artist. Ms Baker has released fifteen studio albums since 1998. They have sold over half a million copies and consistently chart on Billboard.

The Hill Air Force Base Unity Choir Singers are part of the worship community on Hill Air Force Base. Made up primarily of retired Air Force personnel, they have performed at over 300 events around the state of Utah.

A Lux Christmas

Lux Singers presents its 2nd annual Christmas concert "A Lux Christmas." Joined by a special guest artist, members of the Lux Singers, Lux Children's Choir, Lux Men's Chorus and Lux Women's Chorus will provide an evening of traditional and beloved Christmas music sure to get you off to a spiritual start to the holiday season.

There will be two performances: December 5 & 6 2017. There is limited parking at the church itself. Additionally there is significant parking in the lot across the street which is free for patron use.

The Lux Singers Organization presents its first concert of the 2017-2018 season in the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Come and be enriched by the choirs of Lux Singers performing songs of praise and glory. Concert includes works by Wilberg, Hogan, Gjeilo, Mealor, Staheli and more.

Ogden Utah Interfaith Concert

Ogden Utah Interfaith Concert

Lux Singers will be performing in the Ogden, Utah Tabernacle in cooperation with the Weber North Public Affairs Council of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Join the interfaith community for an evening of inspirational music from different faiths.

The featured performers will be internationally acclaimed a cappella group Eclipse 6. They are joined by Calvary Baptist Church vocalists Anthony Carpenter and Betty Woods, the Hill Air Force Base Gospel Choir, Westminster Bell Choir from the First Presbyterian Church of Logan, Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd organist, a Native American flute player from the Unitarian Universalist Church and the Ogden Buddhist Church Taiko Drummers. 

This concert is free and open to the public. Early Admission Tickets are available through Ogden area clergy and LDS Stake Presidents. This ticket will allow the holder to enter the tabernacle at 6:15 p.m. At 6:35 p.m. the doors will open to general seating. There is no charge for the concert, but guests are invited to bring a canned food item for area pantries.

Fittingly, this performance, which is being held on Palm Sunday, accompanies our Savior from the triumphal entry to the Garden of Gethsemane, then from Calvary's Hill to the Garden Tomb. Sacred Echos of Ages Past is a performance that features the exquisite early sacred music most notably from the Renaissance, Baroque and Early Classical eras. The performance will also include a number of modern pieces illustrating the vital role early music played in the development of our modern and contemporary choral music. I Was A Stranger

Join Brevitas and Lux Singers as they put on a joint concert in support of refugees, immigrants, and all displaced populations. They will sing music by Barber, Arensen, Gjeilo, Wilberg, Whitacre, Buchenberg, Paulus, Elder, and more. The concert is free of charge, but a donation is strongly encouraged; all proceeds will go to the International Rescue Committee (www.rescue.org).
